Bethel Emanuel Temple C.O.G.I.C was founded by the late Mother Sarah Hankins. In 2002 she transitioned and God led Curtis B. Sexton to the church with Mother Sarah Hankins favor and blessings to continue the work of God's kingdom. Under the leadership of Bishop, Curtis B. Sexton as Pastor and his wife, Elect-Lady Evangelist Denise Sexton. Together the two is a power team for change led by the spirit and the word of God

Our Ministries
Bethel Emanuel Temple Day Cares
Currently we have three Day Care Centers in Far Rockaway, NY. Providing education and supervision for the children in the nearby communities.
Youth & Young Adult Ministry
Is a group of dynamic individuals who is eager to learn, teach and share in the gospel together. They meet every other Friday with food and service. Please see calendar for dates, times and events.
International Ministries
Bishop Sexton, Prelate to the Guyana Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction Where there are now over 50 churches. Helping to deliver the Holy Word of God and sharing the gospel across the nation. We provide support in community growth and other areas of need including but not limited to, clothes, school supplies, work opportunities, and much more.
Shelter Ministry
We travel to various shelters with prayer, encouragement and information for jobs and housing.
Prison Ministry
Currently hosted at the Rikers Island Prison in NY. Service of prayer, teaching and encouragement through the word of God.
N.O.W Ministry
Brings the word and counseling to those who deal with substance abuse and the mentally ill.
Pantry & Soup kitchen
Pantry provides fresh, canned and boxed good that the community can collect to help for meals at home. Soup Kitchen provides hot prepared meals for the community three times a week .
Hospital & Nursing Home Ministry
We travel to various hospitals and nursing homes to pray and encourage the sick and the shut-in.
Ministry of Fine & Performing Arts
Anointed vessels of God stand as they reverance God's presence and ushering the people into God's loving presence through the means of dance, mime, acting and visual arts.
Ministry of Music, Praise and Worship
